Guys, just login though the username(email) and password instead of third-party signing(Google or Microsoft account). i faced the same problem!

This was driving me mad for days. I started using the paid version to avoid down-time but then kept getting error message when trying to log in. Solved it by going to this URL and https://chat.openai.com/auth/login and getting a log in link.

Super basic fix of clearing the browser’s cache solved the issue for me.

this worked for me, I was unable to click the Log In button
it literally didn’t do anything before

So here is what I’ve tried so far (and I’m still stuck in the login loop)

  • clear cash and cookies,
  • tried with a different browser (Safari instead of Chrome),
  • tried in incognito mode,
  • tried a different network (at home, both from Wi-Fi and UTP cable and also at my office’s Wi-Fi),
  • tried from a different device (my phone instead of my laptop (on macOS)
  • tried login with the link that others have shared here (which I don’t understand as it’s the normal link as always): https://chat.openai.com/auth/login
  • tried login on https://platform.openai.com/ which works but doesn’t help me log in chatGPT itself

so I’m now out of ideas :crying_cat_face:

BTW @liveonclick1 your video simply recommend trying from another browser or another device, I hope you enjoy the ad revenue from YouTube by tricking us into watching your videos, but you know it doesn’t help right?.

Thats a good feeling.

I wrote a C++ script for one time ChatGPT completions if you’re interested in that sort of thing, also bash and powershell.

Some scripts use jq and curl.

and i have try these ways:

  1. Refresh your cache and cookies, then attempt the login with your chosen authentication method.
  2. Try an incognito browser window to complete sign in
  3. Try logging in from a different browser/computer to see if the issue still persists, as a security add-in or extension can occasionally cause this type of error.

i went in incognito mode and that solved it for me.
Prior to that I checked chrome://flags/ and there was an issue there I resolved, temporarily started working again but then stopped after a day or two and was like that again for two days until just now when I tried incognito, and I’m in
