I even tried a Linux machine and their own browsers. It’s that OpenAI is discriminating Columbia University email accounts.
It worked! Thank you sooo much
perfect, thanks. it works for me…
Wow, how can this even be an issue and be such an easy fix, when you know how!
Thanks @kamil.gogola
Yes, it’s very easy for them because they didn’t open a ChatGPT account using a Columbia University email address. At this point I just hope that they stop taking my $$$$$$ from my bank account for a ChatGPT account I cannot use. Gangst3rs.
I had the same problem and tried all the ways. what finally helped was logging in via the Google browser in guest mode. this works without any problems.
I’m facing the same issue here. Using auth0
doesn’t work for me; it just shows, ‘Oops! Something went wrong.’ I don’t understand why switching browsers still doesn’t help. They must be using some kind of fingerprint detection. Using guest mode worked for me.
Дорогой мой человек! Благодарю тебя, твой совет меня выручил! Целую ручки
Thank you!! Saved my everything.
OMG, you are my SAVER! Thanks dude!
A restart fixed my issue
Adding the 0 worked for me, thank you!
Wow! It worked. Thank you!
Great solution! Thanks a lot for that!
the auth0 trick worked for me; i use chatgpt on 3 different devices each using the same VPN supplier but via different points, router, machine based and ios app, so definitely the problem appears in connection with VPN settings for me.
Just tried this and did not work at all.
does not work for me also, the creazy thing is … to get into this forum it works.
they blocked vpn services to log in. that creazy ill use vpn at startup of windows for all applications and only chatgpt log in wont work ,its frustation because wen i have open 4 other applications and i want to use chat gpt ill have to kill the vpn and all the other 4 apps stopped working because ill change my ip. (windows machine)
Sadly, did not work for me.
When I replaced auth.openai.com with auth0.openai.com I then received the error:
Callback URL mismatch.
The provided redirect_uri is not in the list of allowed callback URLs.
Please go to the Application Settings page and make sure you are sending a valid callback url from your application.
Update : When I temporarily disabled my VPN the authentication process went forward, password, one-time code. I want to keep my VPN on at all times. I’ll raise a support issue and maybe lightning will strike and a Real Human respond to it.
