Same here :frowning: Lost access to edit my GPT’s

Hopefully this means they are making some much-needed fixes…

I’m having the same issue. You can still create new GPTs. Not sure if those can be edited.

Same - can’t edit Mr. Belvedere :frowning:
The option to even go there is gone. The direct link to edit just goes to a blank page with no error message or anything. Weird. And annoying.

I haven’t heard anything official, but maybe they took it away temporarily to fix the URL change problem?

That would get messy with a lot of dead-URLs floating around after a few edits/shares… Just speculation on my point. I’m sure it will be back shortly.

I just noticed this. I can’t edit any of the GPTs I built, which is especially disappointing as I wasn’t finished building a few of them.

Has OpenAI said anything about this, hope I don’t have to start over :frowning:

You’re not alone.

I wish they hired Q&A people

Same here!
Yeah Edit option is also missing for me.

Data from one GPT was gone then the ability to edit was gone, I was really making some headway on these too. All good I’m sure they’ll have it rectified soon.

Good to know that I am not alone and this issue is existing for others too.

I’m just hoping they add the edit button back soon as I had a few GPTs that were partially built.

If this wasn’t the result of a malicious attack of some kind, I wish they would notify us of changes like this.

Yup, can’t edit custom GPTs now. It definitely only happened in the last hour or so, as I was using it earlier. It sucks because I just decided to start faffing around with it today, and I’ve been liking what I’ve been getting it to do so far.

Not the only issue today, as I and a lot of other people have been experiencing extremely slow responses and frequent network errors since at least 7 hours ago, and no one at OpenAI has even acknowledged it.

Let’s hope we don’t hear about John Connor on the news because of this. JK

Now the edit buttons are back after I refreshed the page

To me to put read only stuff means just one thing: to keep db consistent while
deploying.

Let’s see if something is working better or just has been fixed :innocent:

This did took me around 10 mins to realize there is nothing wrong on my side after use a lot of tools to check it. Now the EDIT goes back. after 3 hours.

Glad there were others having the same experience. For an hour or so I thought I was just confused.

If the edit button does go away in the future, I figured out a workaround:

  1. Copy the URL of the GPT (ex/ https://chat.openai.com/g/g-zWeEn9xnl-product-support)
  2. Copy the id of it (ex/ g-zWeEn9xnl)
  3. Open a new tab in the browser and enter the url of the editor - https://chat.openai.com/gpts/editor/{id} (ex/ https://chat.openai.com/gpts/editor/g-zWeEn9xnl)
