When I’m working on complex tasks with long conversations, chatgpt gets farther away from the original prompt. For example, I’ve been heavily using canvas for coding. Since I’m newer to programming, I get overwhelmed when gpt gives me 6-10 steps to take for an instruction . Whenever I interrupt these conversations replying that I got stuck at step 2 or 3, it adds to the furthering list of tangents away from the original prompt. I wish I could reply to a specific part of a message with a direct thread of mini-replies that don’t convolute the original conversation. OpenAI, if this feature becomes massive, please send me a shirt.
