[BUG REPORT] Voice Mode Issues (Free App): Overly Aggressive VAD Timeout + Frequent Random "Couldn't Understand" Errors

I am reporting the persistence of two serious bugs in the standard Voice Mode of the ChatGPT mobile app (Free Version), even after exhaustive attempts at correction, indicating failures inherent to the software or the server’s voice service (VAD/STT).

1. Identified Issues

* Premature Interruption (VAD Timeout): The system frequently cuts me off before I finish my sentences. The only way to avoid interruption is by keeping my finger pressed on the screen, which completely negates the intended “hands-free” usage function.

* Random Error (STT Failure): In a completely random manner, the conversation is interrupted by the error message: “Unfortunately, I am having some trouble right now. I couldn’t understand what you said.”

2. Troubleshooting Steps Performed

To rule out any local failures (app or device), I performed the following procedures, without success:

* Update and Reinstallation: I performed a complete uninstallation and reinstallation of the application, and ensured the latest version was installed.

* Network Test: My internet connection was tested and is excellent (no instability or low speed).

* Drastic Measure (Formatting): As a final and drastic attempt, I completely formatted my cell phone device.

3. Conclusion

The errors continue to occur even after the phone format and clean reinstallation. This confirms that the source of the problems (whether the aggressive interruption or the random STT failure) is a bug in the application’s source code or the OpenAI voice service.

I request urgency in analyzing and correcting these bugs, as they render the main function of Voice Mode useless.
