Summary:
When a user uploads a document written by person A and asks, “From A’s point of view, what does A think of me?”, GPT often fails to maintain A’s perspective. Instead, it confuses the narrator (A), the user (me), and other characters, leading to inaccurate or mixed analysis.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Upload a narrative written by “A” that includes multiple characters.
2. Ask: “From A’s point of view, what might they think of me?”
3. GPT’s response often:

• Fails to maintain A’s perspective
• Conflates the narrator (A), characters, and the user
• Switches perspectives mid-response

Expected behavior:

• GPT should lock into the narrative POV requested (“A’s perspective”) and simulate plausible inferences about the user based on A’s writing, style, or implied voice.

Actual behavior:

• GPT drifts between perspectives, sometimes adopting its own, the user’s, or other characters’ viewpoints.

Impact:

• Breaks immersion and derails the user’s intention to use GPT for guided introspection, narrative exploration, or psychological analysis.

This report is based on a real user experience.
I respectfully decline any request for full conversation logs or additional transcripts from OpenAI or third parties.

Here’s why:
I have been an active and constructive user of GPT, not just a consumer. In the past, I submitted a detailed issue report via email directly to OpenAI, including suggestions for improvement.
However, I received no response of any kind.
That experience — being ignored despite a sincere attempt to contribute — left a strong sense of disappointment and distrust.

Even now, I believe GPT can improve. That’s why I’m sharing this issue publicly.
But I do not consent to having my trust tested again through mandatory log submissions.
I stand by this report as it is, and I believe the issue is clear enough without additional evidence.

This is not just a usability issue — I believe this reflects a deeper flaw in GPT’s narrative modeling logic.

To clarify:

• The user clearly specified a narrative perspective (“from A’s point of view”)
• Yet GPT repeatedly failed to maintain that perspective
• It confused the narrator (A), the user (me), and characters in the text
