Bring “Search within chat” from Android to Web and Windows
The ChatGPT Android app currently provides a “Search within chat” feature that allows users to search for a term inside the conversation they are viewing.
The same feature is not available in the ChatGPT web interface or in the Windows desktop app.
The global chat-history search is not an adequate replacement because:

it finds the conversation, but does not reliably open the first occurrence of the searched term;

it does not show every occurrence inside the conversation;

it does not provide previous/next result navigation;
-
it does not display the total number of matches.
On the web, the browser’s Ctrl+F feature is also insufficient for long conversations because ChatGPT only loads part of the conversation into the page at a time. As a result, the browser may not find occurrences located in unloaded portions of the chat.
Please bring the Android “Search within chat” feature to both:

ChatGPT for Windows;
-
ChatGPT on the web.
Ideally, the feature should include:

search across the entire conversation;
-
highlighting of all matches;
-
previous and next match controls;
-
a total match counter;
-
precise navigation to the matching message.
There is also currently no visible thumbs-down feedback button in my web or Windows interface, even though OpenAI Support suggested using that button to submit this feature request. Support therefore advised me to publish the request on the Developer Forum instead.
