Better navigation in chat with conversation bookmarks

Hey there! Today, I want to share an idea that could make our chat conversations even more convenient. Have you ever found yourself trying to find something important in a long chat? Scrolling up and down to locate a key moment can be tedious, right? My proposal is something that could change that: bookmarks in our chats.

Imagine being able to highlight the parts of the conversation that interest you during a chat. Then, whenever you want to revisit them, all you’d need to do is click on a bookmark on the side of the screen. These bookmarks could have different colors or labels, making it easy to distinguish and find what’s most important.

This simple solution could save all of us a lot of time and frustration. No more searching through the entire conversation to find one piece of information. Just glance at the side of the screen, find the right bookmark, and voilà – there’s what you were looking for.

I think such a feature would make chat even better. Conversations would be more transparent and easier to manage. Each of us could quickly find the moments important to us, making using the chat even more enjoyable and efficient.

I hope you like my idea and that someday we’ll be able to use such an improved chat. It’s a small change, but I think it could make a big difference in our daily use. What do you think?

I second this suggestion. I am an elementary teacher and have been using my chats to help me scaffold lessons for the various types of learners in my class. It would be helpful to bookmark a response in a chat so it can be easily found. Great ideas within the chats would be easier to find and it can save time for those of us who use it to help others.

Yes, please, add bookmark feature to keep track of important lines or sections of conversation, especially in long chats, (coding for example), something like a lot of IDE’s use. Per conversation would be fine. Global might be interesting but not required.

That would be amazing! Going back to specific parts of a chat would be immensely useful.
