# Batch API Outage - /v1/responses cannot access valid purpose=batch input\_file\_id

@siddhant Same issue here, could you apply the fix to our org as well?

Org: [org-id]

Every batch since 2026-08-28 13:09 UTC fails in validation with  
“Cannot find file \<input\_file\_id\>, or organization org-HPYx… does not have access to it.” (27+ consecutive failures, request\_counts.total = 0). Last successful batch was 2026-08-27 10:06 UTC. The input file is retrievable via GET /v1/files/{id} and /content (200, purpose=batch, status=processed). Reproduces on both /v1/images/edits and /v1/chat/completions, immediately after upload and 90 s later.
