I’ve been trying to redeem the “Back to School” offer (4 free months of ChatGPT Plus) at, and I keep hitting “Verification Limit Exceeded” through SheerID.
I’ve already:

Contacted SheerID support twice about this specific error

Opened OpenAI support case 13958164, which told me to go back to SheerID

Went back to SheerID, who told me the redemption/eligibility limit for this promotion is controlled by OpenAI, not them

Opened a second OpenAI case (14175793) explaining this exact loop and asking for a supervisor/human review instead of another redirect

Received the same “please contact SheerID” response again, despite explaining the loop in detail
Both sides are pointing to the other, and I haven’t been able to get an actual human to look at my account. Separately, I did successfully resolve a similar issue for the Codex student credit offer after OpenAI support reset my SheerID verification limit for that program — so I know a real fix is possible on OpenAI’s side, it just doesn’t seem to be happening for this specific promotion.
Is there anyone from OpenAI staff who can help look into this, or advise on the right escalation path? Happy to provide any additional details.
