# Auto scrolling error consistently impedes straightforward usage

**Issue** : When using ChatGPT on Safari (macOS), the page scrolls _up_ during response generation—sometimes jumping several messages—rather than staying at the bottom.

**System** : macOS + Safari. No browser or OS issues present.

**Request** : Can the ChatGPT team address this scroll glitch? It disrupts usability and breaks the reading flow. Happens consistently during longer outputs.

Anybody know why? I asked ChatGPT directly and it suggested editing the website!
