I encountered a similar situation early this year. I reported the situation via the message function located in the help page. It turned out there was a problem on the server side, and I’m not the only one who’s affected by that problem. Because they sent out a message (to all, I think) talking about the glitch on the next day I reported my issue. They fix the issue later that day.
Oh, by the way, my situation was I can use the API without problem, but the usage page didn’t reflect any activity and credit consumption for several days.
Auto recharge is still broken for me. I guess OpenAI has time to roll out 12 days of new features, but not enough to fix this essential bug. What a shameful company. I just had a lot of batch requests fail because auto recharge didn’t work. So I had to pay for part of the batch, when my pipeline requires that I resubmit the entire batch. Money down the drain…
I have had the same issue since the beginning of December; auto-recharge is still not working for my account, but manually adding to the balance is fine. Has anyone in the same situation had the issue fixed?
Same here. Auto Recharge is broken, but I can manually add credit to my account. The challenge is that I don’t even get a low balance message, just an error when I reach <$0.
Same issue here. We couldn’t run AI analysis through the API and would instead get this result:
HTTP Request: POST ##LINKREDACTED## “HTTP/1.1 429 Too Many Requests”
Backing off analyze(…) for 0.4s (openai.RateLimitError: Error code: 429 - {‘error’: {‘message’: ‘You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, read the docs: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/error-codes/api-errors.’, ‘type’: ‘insufficient_quota’, ‘param’: None, ‘code’: ‘insufficient_quota’}})
Manually funding the account remedied the issue. It did take a few minutes for the error to go away, so be aware there’s propagation time on this.
Same problem here. Auto recharge not working even though the billing dashboard says it’s configured correctly to auto-recharge when reaching $5. I’m on a negative balance right now and it hasn’t recharged yet. API calls stopped working. I’m using a Business Amex.
