I am writing directly to the OpenAI team to formally call out a severe, recurring backend ledger failure that is being completely neglected by Support.

The Latest Incident (Aug 24 Platform Reset): The 20M milestone “BANKED reset” granted last week vanished from my account (Settings → Usage) without ever being triggered. It was silently wiped right around the unannounced platform-wide reset deployed on August 24 (PDT).

A Chronic Ledger Issue (2nd Occurrence): This is the second time an unspent Banked Reset has prematurely disappeared from my account:
1st Lost Credit: Documented under Case #12419352 / #13232013 (where Support Agent John explicitly confirmed this as a verified backend bug).
2nd Lost Credit: The 20M milestone Banked Reset wiped out around August 24.
- Unacceptable Support Handling:Despite internal acknowledgment that this is a system bug, frontline support continues to stonewall the issue with generic, dismissive boilerplate responses (e.g., Case #13348443). Acknowledging a backend defect while taking zero action to correct affected ledgers is an unacceptable standard for a paid service. Silently wiping valid user credits during system deployments destroys trust.
Demands to OpenAI Leadership / Engineering:
Manually credit back the 2x lost Banked Resets to affected accounts (Support Case: #13232013 / #13348443, Handle: lef).
Fix the deployment and TTL logic that repeatedly overwrites banked user balances.
Address this systemic ledger defect instead of deflecting bug reports with tier-1 templates.
We require official accountability from the team and an immediate manual adjustment for the lost credits.
