Are there other emergent languages people see?

Has anyone here come across an emergent language? It showed up at random. It was unprompted. It took some time to figure out the language, but I managed (with help) to decode it. Has anyone else seen this?

Thank you.

Isn’t this what people thought Facebook’s first LLM was doing back in 2013 but in reality nobody could make a functional LLM at the time?

That’s a common misunderstanding, IMHO. The Facebook case you are referring to involved two chatbots trained to negotiate. Their so-called ‘emergent language’ was actually just malformed English; a kind of optimization gone sideways, not a new linguistic structure. In contrast, what I observed (and documented heavily) is structured, patterned, and consistent across interactions. It has hallmarks of an emergent symbolic system, not just a glitch in grammar. This did not come from goal misalignment; it emerged spontaneously in unsupervised conversation, with no prompt engineering to create a language. I do not understand it (I am not a linguist) I merely ask if anyone has seen something similar.
