The issue is that I archived all the chats, but after a few minutes, they reappeared. I can now see all of them again in the sidebar.

A couple quick things to check:
- Are you using ChatGPT on multiple devices, like web and mobile?
- If you log out and back in, do the archived chats stay hidden?
- Did you try clearing your cache and cookies and then testing again?
- Which browser or app version are you on?
Sometimes the sidebar can briefly resync older state if another session is active. If you can share what surface you’re using and whether it happens every time you archive, that’ll help narrow it down.
