App rejected with no reason shown — status reverted to Review

Hi team,

I submitted my ChatGPT App “VeloElec & Co” (bike comparison app) for review. At one point the status briefly changed to “Rejected”, but no explanation, message, or feedback was displayed anywhere in the developer dashboard (platform.openai.com/plugins) — no banner, no tooltip, no email notification received either. Shortly after, the status reverted back to “Review” on its own, and it currently still shows “Review” (version 1.0.0).

Could you help me understand:

  1. What caused the rejection the first time?
  2. Where should rejection feedback normally appear, since nothing was shown in my case?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for reaching out. I can understand why seeing the status change like that would be confusing.

Since your app is currently back in Review, it's now going through the standard review process. Unfortunately, we don't have visibility into the review workflow or the reason for any temporary status changes from the Community Forum.

At this point, the best thing to do is wait for the review to be completed. Reviews are handled by the appropriate team and processing times can vary depending on review volume.

Thanks for your patience, and I hope you hear back from the review team soon!

Hi Smith,

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand you don’t have visibility into the review workflow itself — I’ll wait for the review team.

One quick follow-up though: is it expected behavior for the status to flash to “Rejected” with zero explanation anywhere in the UI (no banner, no tooltip, no email) before silently reverting to “Review”? If that’s a known glitch, no action needed on my end — just want to make sure I’m not missing something I should be fixing on my side.

Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for following up!

If an app is rejected as part of the review process, the review team will provide the reason for the rejection. Since your app is currently back in Review, there's nothing you need to do on your end at this time.

For now, I'd recommend waiting for the review to be completed. If any changes or actions are required, or if the app is ultimately rejected, the review team will let you know along with the relevant details.

Thanks again for your patience!
