I’m having the same issue with ChatGPT crashing immediately after opening on my Android device. Pixel 8 Pro
I’m not sure what to say really 
My partner updated his GPT app to the latest version this morning but doesn’t get a crash issue so I don’t think it’s tied to an update.
But server side things seem to be working fine for me on PC still as others have mentioned.
Very odd!
Tried contacting Open AIs support but the conversation seemed to stall and the support rep stopped replying. 
We can’t do anything about this. It’s their technical issue. I hope they’ll fix it in a short time
Same issue i am facing. Error summary after crashing is exactly the same. It crashes immediately after opening it.
Samsung S20 Ultra - having the same issue!
Add another one to the list, using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
You can get it to work by shutting off your mobile data- launch the app, and while the app is still open turn on your mobile data.
You need to turn off your data/connection before you launch the app, then launch it. Otherwise it shuts down or crashes. Once the app is open then turn on your data and it should work for that session. You’ll have to do this each time you launch the app for a session- at least until Open AI comes up with a solution or update.

I deactivated wifi and internet connections, launched the app and it was open for a second, I activated the connection again, it crashed but when I went back in it suddenly stopped crashing and its working now!

Apps working again! As many people said here, it was a server issue (im guessing).

App seems to be working again as normal for me too now, thanks for everyone’s input, hope it’s working for all of you now too! 
I was having the same issues today and yesterday. Turned off internet, and went into custom instructions and cleared some really old ones I haven’t used in weeks, updated to the new set I’ve been using and no crashing anymore. Such a strange reason to crash. Hopefully that fixes the issue for me.
I don’t think the developers care very much about the Android app. It is just an afterthought even though it has 10 times the market. They’re used to Apple. Unfortunately they do not optimize for different devices like pixel or Samsung either.
