Greetings to all OpenAI team and users.
My name is Stilyan and I have been using chatGPT 4 custom mode service for some time now.
I recently discussed with chatGPT why the third party plug-ins were discontinued and I understood that it is mainly because of the privacy policies and the difficulty to ensure the privacy and security of the information provided by these plug-ins. I then came up with what could perhaps be an alternative to them and could help them develop AI capabilities and services. This would be to establish inter-company agreements with other companies that provide these services, to which chatGPT 4 could have access subjecting itself to the privacy policies of these companies and, besides, letting users know if they accept these conditions. Although as I have discussed with chatGPT this process would be complex to establish, it is possible and I think it would be very beneficial and would greatly expand the capabilities of the AI. An example of this strategy would be for the Earth plug-in that provided satellite images in chatGPT 4 would be to replace it with a business-to-business agreement between openAI and Google Maps to get the information from this service through APIs while maintaining privacy policies that meet Google’s legal requirements which comply with the standards of the European GDPR laws for my region, for example
I speak from my lack of knowledge without knowing if this idea would be entirely possible but I think it would be a big step forward for the AI world.
