Allow public sharing of chats from team account

I want to be able to share public links to chats.

It’s a simple feature that is available to both free and plus users, but the moment you upgrade to team it’s disabled and the UI shows it as gated behind enterprise. It’s quite frankly absurd.

It’s also my understanding that I can’t downgrade to plus, so if I become sufficiently annoyed with this anti-consumer nonsense I guess my best option is to nuke my account and go to a competitor, as I’ll lose all my chat history regardless.

I’d also like @OpenAI_Support to explain the reasoning behind this choice. I also want to share chats publicly and can’t. However, that feature alone is not worth upgrading to an enterprise account. I hope you will reconsider un-gating it soon. Thanks.

I think, this is because of privacy and security restrictions designed specifically for organizational use. It is not an individual account like Plus or Pro.

You can contact with OpenAI Help Center - OpenAI Spport Team to ask an explanation the reasoning behind this choice.

To start a chat using widget on bottom-right side of the page with OpenAI support, follow steps below:

1 - Go to ChatGPT and log in with the account you want to use.

2- Go to Help Center and select the Chat widget icon.

Thanks @polepole. I understand the “privacy and security restrictions” yet I don’t understand why they gated the option to change the setting behind an Enterprise plan and I hope Open AI changes their mind.
