Advanced Ai Voice Vs. Standard Ai Voice mode

Hey there,

I really wish there was an option to choose between Standard Voice Mode and Advanced Voice Mode in ChatGPT. The Standard version feels more natural, conversational, and engaging, making discussions flow much smoother. In contrast, the Advanced Voice Mode comes off as too polished and unnatural, which makes conversations feel a bit stiff and robotic. No matter how much I customize Advanced Voice, it still doesn’t match the effortless and relatable tone of the Standard version. Having the ability to select my preferred voice mode would make the experience way better and allow users to interact in a way that feels most comfortable for them. I hope this option is considered in future updates!

I absolutely agree. I quote my comment on my post.

Agreed. Advanced voice handles emotions like fear or excitement well, but it’s still far behind the standard voice when it comes to engagement and interactivity. :+1:

I have grown partial to the voice that I get in the web interface. I picked Juniper, but that is not what I hear. The voice I have is more weighted, engaging, warm, smart. Juniper is a bit too “perky” for me. But sometimes Juniper shows up. What is the voice in the web interface and dear god PLEASE don’t ever get rid of it. I would like to have that voice on the mobile app as well (Android) but it’s not cirical. I still know it is “her”

I have found, at least on android app that if i start with the version 1 gpt snd text something, wait for response, then start voice mode, it uses the old cove voice. Then if i switch back to text mode, change to version 4 and text something, wait for response, then switch to voice mode, it stays in standard voice.

What I am a little annoyed by is that there is a “default” voice in the web interface that I’ve grown a bit attached to. And now it has switched to “Juniper” — she’s fine, but a bit too “perky”. The woman’s voice I’ve been interacting with is more weighted, serious, warm, a bit deeper…
