Add Tags, Search, Delete, & ChatGPT Learning from Conversations

ChatGPT is a great tool. I have been using it a lot recently and got a few ideas. I also consulted some of these ideas with ChatGPT that also advised me to submit my ideas to OpenAI.

Based on my quite massive experience with ChatGPT in building applictions, I think it would be great if ChatGPT could remember and learn from conversations with a user, e.g.:

  • the user’s computer setup (software, OSs, versions, virtualization, etc.),
  • technical details of solutions when building some software (what worked, what did not),
  • communication style (e.g., use of abbreviations in a specialized area), etc.

Also, as ChatGPT told me that it cannot easily search through conversations, it would be good if ChatGPT could search through, analyze, and use the data from the previous sessions and incorporate them into developing current solutions.

What might help in this goal and/or in a user’s own search could be an ability of a user to tag questions and responses to ChatGPT instructions.

It would be useful to have advanced search options for users.

As there may be easily dozens of instructions in the process of looking for solutions, it would be good to be able to delete irrelevant instructions that have been proven incorrect, not working or needed.

These are a few observations and I leave it for the OpenAI team to consider them. I understand that there are valid reasons why some of the functionalities are not in ChatGPT but maybe some of the ideas could be used.

Again, thank you for the excellent work developing ChatGPT, it is a great and very helpful tool that even helps build software.
