The web version of ChatGPT can save a Temporary Chat and turn it into a normal chat in history.
The desktop app should be able to do the same.
Temporary Chat is useful when you want to start something without adding it to your history, but sometimes a temporary conversation turns into something worth keeping.
Right now, if that happens in the desktop app, there is no equivalent “Save” option.
That creates an unnecessary difference between the web and desktop experience.
Please add the same option to the desktop app:
“Save Temporary Chat”
and convert the conversation into a normal chat in history, just like on the web.
This would be especially useful for longer discussions where you only realize halfway through that the conversation is worth keeping.
The feature already exists. It just needs to be available consistently across clients.
