Please add a quick-reply option for reasoning models in ChatGPT, similar to what already exists in Google AI Pro.
I have personally used this feature in Google AI Pro, and it is genuinely very useful. Under a reasoning-model response, there is an option to request a faster, shorter reply when the question is simple and does not need a full long-form reasoning answer.
This is not just a random idea. I have real experience using it, and it makes conversations noticeably faster and more convenient. In long chats, not every message needs a full “thinking” response. Sometimes a short reply such as “Okay”, “Got it”, “Let’s close this topic”, or “Yes, keep it that way” is exactly what is needed.
This is already a proven and practical UX solution in another AI product. It would make sense for ChatGPT to adopt a similar feature.
