Add a Face-Cam Feature for One-on-One Conversations

Hi team,

I wanted to suggest a new feature that could enhance real-time communication within the platform — a Face-Cam mode for one-on-one conversations.

Currently, we have voice chat, but adding an optional face-to-face video feature could elevate user interaction. Here’s how it could work:

  • Face-to-Face Calls: Users can toggle a face-cam option during one-on-one voice chats, allowing for more personal and engaging discussions.
  • Privacy Controls: Include options to blur backgrounds or turn off the camera, ensuring users have control over their privacy.
  • Integrated Chat: The video call interface would work alongside the chatbox, so users can still share links, images, and notes during conversations.
  • Screen Sharing: An added bonus would be allowing screen sharing for collaborative projects, like coding or brainstorming.
  • Security: Implement end-to-end encryption and a quick “report/block” option to prevent misuse.

I believe this feature could foster deeper collaboration and create a more dynamic community experience. Would love to hear others’ thoughts and suggestions!

Thanks for considering this!
