Hi OpenAI team,

I’m the CTO of a web development agency specializing in PrestaShop (300K+ stores globally). We’re exploring building an integration using the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) to enable PrestaShop merchants to sell via ChatGPT.

Before committing resources to development, I need clarity on:

  1. Can we implement ACP without formal partnership/approval from OpenAI?
  2. Are there rate limits or quotas for third-party platform implementations?
  3. Is there a certification/validation process before ChatGPT can discover products from our endpoint?
  4. Where can we find the complete technical specification beyond the initial announcement?

We would aggregate multiple PrestaShop stores under a unified catalog (similar to how Shopify operates), not individual store-by-store connections.

Has anyone successfully implemented ACP for platforms outside Shopify/Etsy? Would appreciate any guidance or pointing to the right contacts.
