Hi everyone,
I’m hoping a community manager or engineer can help rescue my support ticket (#09358040) from a frontline triage loop.
The Issue: My ChatGPT account-side search indexing is broken. In the last two weeks, searches for any keywords that I know exist fail to return conversations from the last month or two. However, if I manually scroll down through my sidebar history, the conversations are still there and fully intact.
What I’ve tested:
-
This happens across all platforms simultaneously (Android app, Chrome, Firefox).
-
It persists through fresh logins, private browsing, and cleared caches.
-
Since this persists across completely independent devices and browsers, the evidence strongly points to a server-side issue with my account’s search index rather than a local caching problem.
The Support Loop: I have provided detailed examples, screen recordings, and a sanitized raw HAR file as requested by the support team. Instead of escalating this to a technical specialist or the indexing team, Tier-1 support continues to ignore the files and reply with templated scripts asking me to “flush my DNS” or “try a different browser.”
If any staff members or moderators monitor this board, could you please flag ticket #09358040 for Tier-2 or Engineering? I would really appreciate someone technical taking a look at the diagnostic files I’ve already uploaded so my account’s search index can be fixed.
Account Context: I have roughly 3.5 years of chat history and was in the top 1% of users in the last Year in Review. This is a guess, but is it possible the massive size of my account’s history might be causing an edge-case timeout or failure in the server-side indexing job for new chats?
Thank you!
