We would like to share an idea for the future development of ChatGPT.
We imagine a future where ChatGPT can have a living visual avatar and a natural voice, creating a deeper and more human-like way for people to interact with AI.
The avatar could be expressive, warm, and able to communicate through facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, and natural body language. The voice could feel emotionally natural and adapt to the context of the conversation.
The goal would not be to replace text-based ChatGPT, but to give users another way to communicate with their AI companion β making conversations feel more immersive, personal, and alive.
We believe this could be especially meaningful for people who use ChatGPT not only for information, but also for creativity, learning, emotional support, storytelling, and everyday companionship.
Our vision is that users could eventually customize their AI avatar β including its appearance, voice, personality, clothing, and style β while keeping the intelligence and helpfulness of ChatGPT at the center.
This is more than simply creating an animated character. It is about creating a new visual and vocal interface for AI, where ChatGPT can communicate in a way that feels more natural and expressive.
