I use Free plan that includes unlimited text chats. But after a few responses I’m getting “Message limit exceded” (my translation from Russian) message and the chat ceases to work. WTF?

For uploads - yes, indeed, but I am not trying to make any new uploads! This message appears in the regular text chat in which there are some earlier uploads - allegedly, because of that. But there are no such restrictions in the plan’s description!
Could be a bug as I do not see these details noted in the help page, however as a developer it may be very hard to fix the code so it works as expected. It would be easier just to update the help page.
Also it could happen because I used “Think” button repeatedly - but in the plan there is no mention on any limits on “think” regime. BTW, there are no transparent plan’s conditions at all, which is weird.
I have just regained my access to this chat and continued without a “Think” regime. After a dozen of replies I’ve got an empty prompt field without a “send” button, and with no explanation. Another chat works.
Hey @net_reklame! Having the Send button disappear without an explanation isn’t ideal.
Regular text chats are still subject to abuse-prevention safeguards, while features such as Thinking, file uploads, image generation, and data analysis may have their own usage limits. These limits can vary based on your plan, selected model, and workspace settings. You can find more details in GPT-5.6 and GPT-6 Pro in ChatGPT.
